Earl Kirt Jr.,75, a resident and native of Verdunville, passed away at 7:05 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at The Carpenter House St Joseph Hospice in Lafayette..
Viewing will be 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27,at the Jones Funeral Home, 1101 Main St. , Franklin. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. at the Little Zion Cemetery in Verdunville Minister Quantra Kirt will officiate the services.
He is survived by his wife, Almena Bourgeois-Kirt of Verdunville; two sons, Rodney Kirt of Carencro and Malcolm Kirt of Verdunville; four daughters, Stepfonia Kirt and Mrs. Leo (Frankie Kirt) Lee, all of Verdunville, Mrs. Anthony (Bridget Kirt) Henderson of Berwick, and Fredericka Kirt of Lafayette; one brother, Eugene L. Kirt of Verdunville; three sisters, Ida Mae Kirt and Nelly Marie Kirt both of Houston, and Sarah Lucille "Pam" Kirt of New Iberia; seven grandchildren; a daughter-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Earl Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and his grandmothers.
