Funeral services for Antoinette “Nettie” Thibodeaux Hull will be held Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Centerville during a noon Mass of Christian burial. Father Ruben Primor will be the Celebrant for the Mass with Father Oneil Landry concelebrating. She will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Eugene Hull Jr., Christine A. Hull, Eddy P. Burke, Matthew P. Burke, Mark A. DeRise Sr., Mark A. DeRise Jr., Jeremy J. Hull, and Whitney W. Hull.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until Mass time, with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 11 a.m.
Nettie was born in Franklin on May 28, 1935, to the late Cleveland Luke Thibodeaux and the late Emily Fournier Thibodeaux. On Feb. 12, 1956, she married the love of her life, Donald, and began raising a family. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many.
A wonderful seamstress, Nettie took great pride in sewing many of her family’s clothes. She was also a very giving person as well as a devout Catholic who enjoyed traveling the world with her husband during his time in the Air Force. Her passion in life, though, was spending time with her family whom she loved unconditionally.
Nettie passed away at the age of 81 at 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at AMG Specialty Hospital in Lafayette. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include five children, Christine A. Hull, Tammy M. Hull, Debora H. Burke and her husband Eddy, Margaret H. DeRise and her husband Mark Sr., and Donald E. Hull Jr. and his wife Celina; one sister, Wanda Lee Bonin; eight grandchildren, Jeremy J. Hull, Whitney W. Hull, Matthew P. Burke, Audra E. DeRise, Mark A. DeRise Jr., Kristin R. Hull, Maddie M. Hull, and Mauriana E. Hull; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, MSgt. Donald Eugene Hull Sr., USAF Ret.; three brothers, Floyd, Cleveland and Donald Thibodeaux; and one granddaughter, Pamela M. Burke.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staffs of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center and AMG Specialty Hospital for the loving and compassionate care given to their mother over the past two months.
