Ethen J. Willis Jr., 78, a native of Woodside and resident of Patterson, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette.
Visitation will be Saturday from 8 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson. Burial will follow in Shield Cemetery in Patterson.
He is survived by his wife, Elnora R. Willis of Patterson; four sons, Ethen J. Willis III of Patterson, Deon Brown of Rochester, New York, Gerren Willis of Frankfort, Kentucky and Toi Willis of Fort Braggs, North Carolina; one daughter, Jennifer Willis of Hinesville, Georgia; one brother, Henry Willis Sr. of Franklin; two sisters, Mildray Smith of Brooklyn, New York and Louise Mills of Mansfield, Texas; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two godchildren; five sisters-in-law; two daughters-in-law; one brother-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, a grandson, and a goddaughter.
