Mrs. Nancy Harris Carter, 84, a native and resident of Morgan City, Louisiana, died Jan. 7, 2017.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at Morning Glory Ministry, 1223 Railroad Ave., Morgan City, Louisiana, on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, with visitation at 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m.
Interment will be at Morgan City cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory Carter, Sean Carter, Ernest (Seimeka) Carter, Elder Donald Wayne Bogen (Lena), Joe (Judith) Bogen and Don (Anna) Carter; daughters, Pamela (Samuel) Morrison, Audrey Carter Williams, Marion Carter, Nicole Carter and Regina Carter Holden; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Carter Sr.; her parents, Richard and Louise Harris; two children, Michael Jones and Tammy Carter; brothers, Robert, James and L.G. Harris; sisters, Hettie Laurel Jacobs, Willie Mae Oaten, Orita Harris and Evoka Harris; and two grandchildren, Zyana Martin and Dallon C. Lyles.
