Emile Gustave Lodrigue Jr.

Emile Gustave Lodrigue Jr., 91, a resident of Morgan City, passed away at Teche Regional Medical Center Sunday, April 24, 2016.
He was born on May 21, 1924, in Berwick, the son of Emile Lodrigue Sr. and Marie Lorenza Lodrigue.
Emile was a loving man that spent all the time he could with family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being on his boat where he would shrimp. He also loved his cat, “Meme.”
Emile will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children, Carol Lodrigue Cobb and husband, Jerry, of Gibson, Bruce Lodrigue and wife, Deborah, of Patterson, Lloyd Lodrigue of Brusly and Dale Lodrigue of Aransas Pass, Texas; grandchildren, Chad Cobb, Dannette Giroir, Joey Lodrigue, Kimberly Lodrigue, Shane Lodrigue, Jason Lodrigue and Dawn Lodrigue; 12 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Claude Lodrigue; and sisters, Lilly Mae “Tiny” Teachman, Lillian Angeline “Molly” Rink, Diane Mary Sanders and Betty Lou Leger.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Emile Lodrigue Sr. and Marie Lorena Lodrigue; his wife, Dorothy Holcomb Lodrigue; sisters, Lorenza Marie Lombas, Irene Sons, Adeline Dontay and Dalilla Sons; and brothers, Ernest Lodrigue, Billy Lodrigue and Phil Lodrigue.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Twin City Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and resumes Wednesday, April 27, 2016, from 8 a.m. until service time. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Emile will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Patterson following the service.
