MARY ST. GERMAIN ‘JEANIE’ MACH

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mary St. Germain Mach was be held Sunday, September 11, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with the Rev. Bobby Hodnett officiating. A gathering of family and friends began at 12 p.m. and continued until time of service.
Jeanie, as she was affectionately known, was a native of Jeanerette and a longtime resident of Franklin. Some of her favorite pastimes were fishing, camping, traveling and cutting her grass on her riding mower. Her passion in life though was her family and friends, whom she absolutely adored and treasured her time with. She passed away at the age of 71 on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at her home with her husband by her side. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Frankie David Mach Sr.; three children, Thomas E. Cocke Jr. and his wife, Sharon; Winifred C. Hodge and her husband, Michael; and Brenda C. Dantin and her husband, Gary; stepson, Frankie David Mach Jr. and his wife, Kristy; stepdaughter, Marie Trahan and her husband, Carroll; step- daughter, Teresa Hebert; stepdaughter, Tina Latham; stepson, Francis Gonsoulin; grandchildren, Alea Cocke, Christopher Cocke, Joshua Cocke, Natalie Cocke, Justin Hodge, Jonah Hodge, Michael Cocke, Gary Paul Dantin Jr., Sarah Dantin, Shauntele Mach, Frankie David Mach III, Lauren Mach, Nicole DeHart, Hillary Latham, Molly Gonsoulin and Katie Gonsoulin; great grandchildren, Shawn Hodge, Zach Hodge, Charlee Cocke, Ian Clement, Liam Clement, Adam Theriot, Krista Mae Mach, and Kristiana Mach, Kalyn, Landen, Kadence and Jayden, and Matthew Latham; sister, Ruby St. Germain Thibodeaux; her step-father, Antoine Blanchard; cousin, Jerry St. Germain; and her dear friends, Jeanie Theriot and Juliet Martin.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jack W. St. Germain; her mother, Ruby A. Stroud Blanchard; her brother, Jack “Buddy” St. Germain Jr.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her sitters, Nicole Butler and Debra Dewey, and the staff of Bridgeway Hospice for the loving and compassionate care given to Mrs. Jeanie.
