Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Dale Anthony Mire, a native of Plaquemine and a 17 year resident of Charenton who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 44 on Monday, September 12, 2016 at his home. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10 a.m. until time of service. He will be laid to rest in the Chitimacha Mausoleum in Charenton. The Rev. Bobby Hodnett will conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Dwyer, Davy Darden, Thomas Couvillier, Phillip Weber, Dallas Brown, Dickie Darby, Kody Albarado, Jude Albarado and Mac Bruno. Honorary pallbearers will be his four sons, Sabastian, Achilles, Nicolas and Dakota.
Dale was a loving husband and father who adored his wife and whose children were his world. His favorite pastime was spending time with his sons playing baseball and watching football. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Christina L. Mire; their four sons, Sabastian, Achilles, Nicolas and Dakota Mire; one sister, Wanda NeveIs; one brother, Thomas Couvillier; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward “Cowboy” Cavalier; his mother, Mary Marion Mire; and one sister, Julie Marie Albarado.
