Alice Jane Lydia Ribardi

Alice Jane Lydia Ribardi, 89, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.

She was born June 27, 1927, in Morgan City, the daughter of George Ratcliff and Lelia Dantin Ratcliff.

Alice will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, Harris Ribardi and wife Lorraine of Thibodaux, Enis George Ribardi and wife Dana of Bayou Vista, and Jared Ribardi; daughters, Barbara Evans of Gibson, and Faye Harris and husband C.W. of Gretna; brother, Cyrus Ratcliff of Bayou L’Ourse; sisters, Julia Ditch, Mathalie DeVille, Kathryn Mareno and Bessie Richardson; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ignace “Capt. Enis” J. Ribardi; parents, George and Lelia Ratcliff; brothers, Floyd, Earl, Ray and Johnny Ratcliff; and sisters, Enolia Millet, Wilna Millet, Laura Crouch and Shirley Guidry.

Visitation was held today, Friday, Dec. 2, 2016, at Holy Cross Catholic Church from 9 a.m. until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial began at 11 a.m. Alice was laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following services.
