Andrew Robichaux, 80, a native of Houma, resident of Katy, Texas, and formerly from the Tri-City area, died Wednesday, May 11, 2016.
He is survived by seven siblings; his wife, Connie Robichaux; three sons, Andy Robichaux, Jr., Gil Robichaux and Steve Robichaux; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, and a daughter-in-law.

Bob “Dale” Andrews, 71, a native of Morgan City, Louisiana, and resident of Coastal Bend, Texas, died May 4, 2016, in Magnolia, Texas.
He is survived by a sister-in-law; a brother, David Andrews of Bayou Vista; three sisters, Isabelle Percle of Bayou Vista, Betty Carol Thibodeaux of Magnolia, Texas, and Myrtis Noble of Robstown, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Mowata for John William Schneider, 59, who died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at 3 p.m. at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City after a brief illness.
“J.W.” was a lifetime resident of Bayou Vista. He was very active with Knights of Columbus Council 6211 in Bayou Vista, having served as Financial Secretary for many years.
Fr. Joseph Tran, Pastor of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, officiated the services. Visiting hours were Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time. A rosary was recited at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his two brothers, Gregory Schneider and Craig Schneider, both of Bayou Vista; two sisters, Claudette S. Faulk of Bayou Vista, and Peggy S. Stefan and husband, Paul, of Lafayette; his godson, Jeb Stefan and fiancé, Amanda Parsonage; his nieces, Katie Stefan, and Amber Monceaux and husband Brandon; and great-nephew, Breckin Monceaux.

Wallace Joseph Boudreaux Sr., 92, beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, entered into the glory of his eternal life on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at his residence in Brownsville, surrounded by his loving family, daughter Penny (Bobby); son W.J. (Mary); and grandkids, Brandy, Kalei (Eliseo) Mikey, Adrian, Skylar, Aiden and Kimberly.
Wallace was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Raceland, Louisiana. He moved to Brownsville in 1947. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was the owner of Twin City Shrimp Co. in Port Isabel, Texas. He owned four shrimp boats: Capt. Wallace B., Mr. Webb, Mary Kalei, and Cathy Ann.
He will be profoundly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Wallace was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Enola Morgan Boudreaux; son, Michael Boudreaux; a daughter, Charlette; and two grandsons, Bobby Loupe Jr. and Morgan Boudreaux.
Left to eternally treasure his memory are his children, Carlette (Howard Hebert) Boudreaux, W.J. (Mary) Boudreaux, and Penny (Bobby) Loupe; a daughter-in-law, Alma Boudreaux; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

Nellie Loretta Christy Saltzman went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 23, 2016, at home in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Nellie was born Sept. 6, 1924, to Clara Bateman Christy and Orrin Christy, in Morgan City, Louisiana. Nellie was the owner of Nell Davis Employment Agency and Western Temporary for many years.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Saltzman; brother, Orrin Christy Jr.; and niece, Bonnie Bateman Kane.
Nellie is survived by her brother, Jim Christy; daughters, Rickie Davis (A.J.) Maloney and Tami Davis (Steve) Crosby; grandchildren, Christy Ferris, Lori (Kurt) Woods, Pamela (Mark) Mouton, Charmin (Shannon) Tanner, Richard (Julie) Crosby, Thomas (Allison) Crosby, and David Crosby; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bryan Robert Bogart, 39, of Gibson, Louisiana, died unexpectedly May 23, 2016, while crawfishing in Bayou Pigeon, Louisiana.
Born in Oswego, Bryan attended Morgan City and Oswego high schools and Oswego County BOCES.
Bryan lived in Cut Off, Louisiana, for 20 years prior to moving recently to Gibson. He formerly worked for Guilbeau Marine for 16 years under the charge of Anthony “Noonie” Guilbeau and Chad Guilbeau. Bryan was currently employed by Candy Fleet out of Morgan City, Louisiana, as an engineer. He enjoyed fishing and gaming.
Bryan was a good man who was loved by many. He had a kind heart and would help strangers and friends alike. He was an amazing son, a loving brother, a loyal friend, a faithful companion and loving stepfather. He will be missed deeply.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Theresa Clark; his mother, Debra Clark-Barber; his father, Burton (Robin) Bogart; his partner, Cally Landry; his stepdaughter, Emily; his sister, Dannon (Eric Simpson) Trahan; a stepsister, Sheana (Kevin) Bogart Twitty; three stepbrothers, Steven (Raeanne) Bogart, Thomas Bogart and Zachary Bogart; a nephew and godson, Johnathon (Jaycinda) Trahan; and a niece, Claire.

Funeral services for Diane Landry Broussard will be held on Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin during a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Father Bill Melancon will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Perpetual Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher Langley, Ryan Langley, Chet Battaglio, Scott Battaglio, Joshua Battaglio and Kyle Battaglio.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. Visitations will resume at 9 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Assumption and continue until time of Mass.
Diane was a native and lifelong resident of Franklin until recently, when the onset of Alzheimer’s would no longer allow her to be away from her daughters, who she has resided with for the past year and a half. Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, who enjoyed working in her yard, relaxing on the bayou side, and spending time with family and friends. Many will remember Diane from her early years working at the Shop-Rite Grocery Store and later at Teche Federal Savings Bank, where she retired following 12 years of service. On Thursday morning, May 26, 2016, following a brief battle with lung cancer, Diane, at the age of 68, closed her eyes to this earthly scene and opened them to her Lord and Savior, to be reunited with family and friends gone before her. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughters, Lori Broussard Langley and her husband, Chad; and Phyllis Broussard Watson and her husband, Richard; five grandchildren, Christopher Langley, Mallory Watson, Ryan Langley, Blaise Watson, and Megan Langley; her sisters, Judy Battaglio and Kay Carter; her mother-in-Law, Joyce Goulas Broussard; her sister-in-law, Margaret Fain; as well as three nieces and two nephews.

Sandra Broussard Boutte, a native of Loreauville and a longtime resident of Charenton, was born on July 11, 1959 to the late Burton Paul Broussard and the late Patricia Ann Vilcan. Sam, as she was affectionately known, was a member and employee of the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana, of which she was very involved and was instrumental in the revitalization of the Chitimacha Language. She had a heart of gold and was well loved by her friends, family, and community. Some of her favorite pastimes were cooking and crossword puzzles. But her true passion in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sam passed away at the age of 56 on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughters, Telah Robison and her husband, Casey Robison; Desireé Rebert and her husband, Paul Rebert Jr.; and Shayna Hines and her husband, David Hines; five grandchildren, Brynn Robison, Tristyn Rebert, Liam Rebert, Ann Marie Hines and Vivian Hines; three brothers, Burton Paul “Bub” Broussard and his wife, Connie; Cory Compton and his wife Susan; and Robert Compton and his wife, Robin; stepfather, Sonny Compton; as well as five nieces and one nephew.

James Buster Nesmith, 84, a resident of Berwick, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Morgan City Healthcare Center.
Buster was born March 25, 1932, in Glade Water, Texas, the son of James and Alma Dees Nesmith.
Buster was a member of the Patterson Masonic Lodge, St. Mary Shrine Club and was also a past member of the St. Mary Parish Lions Club.
He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting ducks and deer. He enjoyed watching sporting events on television and was an avid fan and alumni of Southern Mississippi.
Buster worked for Otis Engineering and retired after 15 years of service, then moving on to become a chiropractor, obtaining his license in 1974. He worked as a chiropractor for 30 years in his Bayou Vista clinic on Southeast Boulevard.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 42 years, Eljean Carline Chauvin Nesmith of Berwick; five children, Darryl Chauvin and wife Jean of Patterson, Kirk Chauvin and wife Joy of Lumberton, Mississippi, Gilda Chauvin McBride and husband Wayne of Lafayette, and Dale Chauvin and Wendell Chauvin, both of Berwick; 16 grandchildren, Elizabeth Chauvin, Christopher Chauvin, Nicholas Chauvin, Carli Chauvin, Sarah Stuart, Rebekah Chauvin, Noelle McBride, Angelle Petersen, Brandi Zeman, Tori Chauvin, Gildon Chauvin, Donovan Chauvin, Khristin Marmolejo, Carri Jean Chauvin, Layla Legendre, and Roy Watson; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Sherry Theriot Boudreaux was called to heaven Friday, May 27, 2016, at her home in Morgan City. As an adored “granny,” she especially treasured time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed working in her garden.
Born in Bayou L’Ourse and a resident of Morgan City, Sherry’s memory will be cherished by her devoted husband of 49 years, Milton Boudreaux Sr.; three loving children, daughter, Alicia Boudreaux Price of Morgan City, son, Milton Boudreaux Jr. and his wife, Maggie Jones Boudreaux, of Ruston, and daughter, Kristi Boudreaux Obst and her husband, Don Obst, of Morgan City; and three precious grandchildren, LeeAnne Elizabeth Price of Morgan City, and Benjamin Byron Boudreaux and Lyla Joy Boudreaux, both of Ruston.
Sherry is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Theriot of Morgan City and Melvin Theriot of Metairie; and four sisters, Lola Theriot Freeman of Ricohoc, Elsie Theriot Aucoin of Dularge, Francis Theriot Listi of Morgan City, and Debbie Theriot LeBlanc of Thibodaux; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Landry Theriot and her father, Ivy Basil Theriot.

Doyle Anthony Bailey Sr., 58, a native of Amelia and resident of Livingston, Louisiana, passed away in his home in Livingston on May 30, 2016, after battling lung cancer for 2½ years.
Doyle loved and lived for his wife Shirley Ann Bailey, mother Lily Mae Bailey and family, his children, grandchildren and close friends who were very special to him. Doyle was always ready to help anyone who needed. He was a very caring person with a big heart, always putting others before himself. Working and providing for his family was one of his greatest joys.
Hunting, fishing, traveling and gardening were some of the things he loved to do and he had an appreciation for the outdoors. He made friends everywhere he went. He always would walk his guests to their cars when they were leaving or, when ending a phone call, his words were always “Call me if you need anything my babe, I love you.” Of all the loves of his life, his family came first.
Doyle is survived by his mother, Lilly Mae Bailey; two sons, Doyle Bailey Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Walker, Louisiana, and Ernest Edwards and his wife, Kristina, of Alvin, Texas; and one daughter, Stacie Holbert and her husband, Chris, of Alvin, Texas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Blayne, Bryan, Daelynn, Chad, Samantha, Hailey, Ian, Jessica, Alyssa, Kayla, Sean and Whitney; and 12 great-grandchildren with one of them on the way (Daecie Ann).
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Bailey; father, Raymond John Bailey; brother, Steve Andrew Bailey; and grandson, Gregory Christopher Holbert.

RONALD ‘SLIM’ PINELL

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016, at 10 a.m., at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Jeanerette for Ronald “Slim” Pinell, a native of Louisa and a longtime resident of Franklin, who passed away at the age of 74 on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Ochsner Foundation in New Orleans.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 4, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Sunday at the church at 8 a.m. and continue until service time. He will be laid to rest at Beau Pre Cemetery in Jeanerette. The Rev. A.L. Lyles will conduct the services.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Josie DeRouen Pinell; three children, Brenda Blanchard and her husband, A.J.; Ronald Pinell Jr. and his wife, Leah; and Joann Pinell and her companion, Klint Parro; his mother, Mabel Guillotte Pinell Alexander; six siblings, Harry Pinell and his wife, Laquita; Barbara Thibodeaux, Jackie Alexander and his wife, Jessie; Arlen Alexander and his wife, Cathy; Dolores Williams and her husband, Jessie; and William “Charles” Pinell and his wife, Liz; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, T-Boy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Pinell Sr.; his stepfather, T.C. Alexander; a son-in-law, Hien Nguyen; a sister, Lois Pinell Firmin; and a brother-in-law, Junius Thibodeaux.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 1 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson for Lucy Swire Faulk, a native of Grand Chenier and a longtime resident of Bayou Vista, who passed away at the age of 79 on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at Ibert’s beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until time of service at 1 p.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.
Survivors include her six children, Charlene Faulk and her fiancé Jay Hotard, Patsy F. Henry and her husband Patrick, Cecil Faulk and his wife Angie, Ricky Faulk and his wife Carla, Cathy F. Harris and her husband Johnny, and Berlin Kingston Faulk; 10 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason, Jessica, Scott, Natasha, Cecily, Amy, Tabitha, Zachary, and Traci; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, Wilfred; four sisters, Mary, Lucille, Ruby, and Betty; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnell Faulk; her father, Delma Swire; her mother, Adia Bourque Meaux; three brothers, Freddie, Obra and Wilson; and one sister, Hilda.

BERNICE SIEFFERT NAQUIN

November 6, 1927- May 31, 2016
Bernice Sieffert Naquin passed away at the age of 88 on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at 12:31 p.m. at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington.
Bernice was born Nov. 6, 1927, in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, one of four children born to the late Clement Marcellus Sieffert and the late Hildegard “Hilda” Marie Deering Sieffert.
In her early years, Bernice enjoyed her time working in the steel mill in Pittsburgh. A longtime resident of Bayou Vista, many will remember Mrs. Bernice from Wal-Mart in Bayou Vista, where she worked for nearly 30 years until her retirement. She was a longtime active member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou Vista where she taught catechism and was a founding member of the Ladies Altar Society.
Some of her favorite pastimes were arts and crafts, traveling, and working in her yard, but her true passion and joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Theresa “Terri” N. Broussard and her husband Paul of Mandeville, Joyce N. Brady and her husband Tim of Houma, Diane “Boo” L. Naquin of Stoneham, Massachusetts, and Harry “Buster” J. Naquin Jr. and his wife Vanessa of Houma; nine grandchildren, Rennan, Renee, Robin and Ross Broussard, Patrick and Trent Brady, Caroline Brady Bozant, and Devin and Connor Naquin; one great-grandson, Bennett Broussard; one brother, Richard Clement Sieffert of Old Saybrook, Connecticut; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Naquin Sr.; one brother, Robert Jerome Sieffert; one sister, Marian Diewald; and one great-grandson, André Gabriel Broussard.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. Bernadette Church Hall in Bayou Vista from 9 a.m. until time of dismissal, with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church at 2 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Father Bill Rogalla will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.
Serving as pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Rennan and Ross Broussard, Patrick and Trent Brady, and Devin and Connor Naquin. Honorary pallbearers will be her three granddaughters, Renee and Robin Broussard, and Caroline Brady Bozant.
