June 3, 1979- May 27, 2016
Michael Shane Drummond, 36, of Stephensville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. He was born June 3, 1979, in Morgan City.
Mike had many that loved him, from childhood friends all the way down the line to the most recent people he met. He never met a stranger he didn’t call a friend.
Mike’s daughters, Harley and Cheyenne, were the love of his life and he’d brag on them and considered them to be his greatest accomplishment.
Mike was our rock star, playing his guitar for family and friends. He was a football fan who loved watching everything from his nephews’ Friday night games at his hometown Morgan City High School, watching his favorite college team LSU and, of course, was a diehard New Orleans Saints fan.
Mike was a simple man who loved simple things. He will be missed greatly and was loved dearly by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Erin Drummond; his daughters, Harley Dupre of Sorrell and Cheyenne Mikael Drummond of Bayou Vista; his maw, Mary Jane Comeaux of Morgan City; his brother, Mac R. Bruno and his wife Joline of Charenton; his sisters, Summer Comeaux of Slidell, Rhonda G. Besse of Pearland, Texas, Vickie L. Cradeur and her husband Aaron, and Dawn Drummond Gros and her husband Chad of Stephensville. He also is survived by six nieces, five nephews, four great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many other littles ones that called him Uncle Mike.
Mike was predeceased by his (maw maw Bea) Mary Beatrice Comeaux of Morgan City; his grandpaws, Mac R. Bruno of Baton Rouge and Milton Comeaux of Morgan City; and his mother, Sandra L. Bruno of Morgan City.
A visitation will be held Monday, June 6, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. A Memorial Service celebrating Mike’s life will immediately follow visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Mack Berselgay will officiate.
